'Bunny Fashions 2023'
2023 is the year of the rabbit. I've been loving all the bunny fashion so I thought I'd put some of my favorites together in this design.
I love rabbits! We raise rabbits on our Family Farm in Tennessee and they are soft, cuddly, and full of cute little personalities. So when I saw the spoonflower design challenge of 'Year of the Rabbit' featuring these cute little animals, I knew that I wanted to enter. Not only that, but I have been seeing the trend hit the fashion scene. That's when I knew that I wanted to design a print utilizing a couple of my passions, featuring some of my favorites in a soft pastel-painted print. You will find hats, shoes, and purses in this rabbit-shaped accessory print.
'Poisonous Plants of Tennessee'
Inspired by the vintage drawings of plants, this drawing features 9 poisonous plants of Tennessee.
'Food Forest in Cross Stitch'
Having a food forest is a goal and work in progress on our farm. The cross-stitch challenge allowed me to blend our farm and textiles in a fun way.
We have a small family farm that we started about 2 years ago when we moved to beautiful East Tennessee and one of the goals that we have been working on has been to make a food forest on our property. This entails a natural arrangement of edible foods and livestock. This challenge allowed me the opportunity to blend my two favorite things - textiles and farming. This image is a creation of what we are actively working towards - with pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and bees; fruit-bearing trees (apple, oranges, and lemons); flowers and bushes; pumpkins, loofahs, carrots, grapes, potatoes, tomatoes, and many rows of plants are all illustrated. This illustration is complete with a natural dirt path lined with bushes that trails through the food forest, passing the pond along the way.

'Florets and Baubles'
This design is for the Pantone Viva Magenta Challenge. It was designed with baubles and trinkets in mind, shaped like little florets.
